Commonwealth Radiology Associates Doctors featured in Boston Magazine “2025 Top Doctors” List
Each year, Boston Magazine publishes its list of Top Doctors in the Boston area. We are pleased to share that three Commonwealth Radiology Associates physicians have made the list of Boston Magazine’s Top Doctors for 2025!
Dr. Allan Hoffman, MD – Vascular & Interventional Radiology
Dr. Allan Hoffman is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vascular and interventional radiologist with over 20 years of experience, and currently serves as the President of Commonwealth Radiology Holdings and Commonwealth Radiology Associates.
He has held numerous leadership positions, including Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at both Lowell General Hospital and North Shore Medical Center. Dr. Hoffman has also served as Medical Director for several vascular centers and laboratories. He is a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology, a prestigious honor recognizing professional achievement and contributions to the field.
Dr. Hoffman has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Boston Magazine in 2023, 2024 and now 2025. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine and has authored numerous publications and presented at scientific conferences.
Dr. Gregg Franco, MD – Diagnostic Radiology
Dr. Gregg Franco is a board-certified, fellowship trained Vascular and Interventional Radiologist with over 13 years of experience. He completed his residency training at Boston Medical Center and Interventional Radiology fellowship at Emory University. He is currently the section chief of Interventional Radiology at Lowell General Hospital and Interim Chief at Melrose Wakefield Hospital. Previously, he served as chief of Interventional Oncology. Over the years, Dr. Franco has brought a number of new procedures to the hospitals including locoregional treatments for cancer (radioembolization and chemoembolization), low back pain (basivertebral ablation) and management of portal HTN (TIPS). He started and currently leads the Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary conference, a multidisciplinary conference to discuss and manage patients with a variety of cancers.
Dr. Franco sits on the leadership committee at Lowell General Hospital and participates on two national committees for the Society of Interventional Radiology. He recently was given the Lowell General Hospital Outstanding Interdisciplinary Collaboration award and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine and Adjunct Professor at multiple programs in the region.
Dr. Anna Rives, MD – Diagnostic Radiology
Dr. Rives joined CRA in 2023. Her special interests include breast imaging and interventions.
